On several occasions we have had a team of medical experts doing the HIV screening on our campus. Myself and other friends will just deliberately by pass them and ignore their passionate call and beckoning to come and do the screening.

The sun rose very early on Wednesday and if Biola had not checked her watch, she would have assumed it was noon already. The much anticipated symposium was scheduled to kick off by 10:30 a.m.  It was already 7:25 a.m. by her time, so, Biola rose up quickly to have her routine 30minute devotion.

The guest speakers at the symposium were top business coaches in the country. Biola had always nursed a business idea and hence, couldn’t just wait to meet them.

The other day after a powerful delivery at a seminar somewhere around town, one of the guest speakers who happened to be pretty older asked me a question;

“Biyi, where do you see yourself in the next six years?".

I paused momentarily, wore a smile on my face and gave him answers. He ended up by saying "I pray all your aspirations come true."

DARKNESS

I woke up very early on Tuesday morning, said my morning prayers and next in line was the house chores.

While making up my mind on what to attend to first while still on my cozy bed, I heard the tune of my ring tone.

I wondered who was calling me this early on a Tuesday morning, but then I reached out to my phone which was some few meters away from my bed.

MANGO

I don't really like mango as a fruit, but I have friends who can eat them like their life depends on it.

After dealing with a mango fruit, if we take the inedible seed, dry it for a while and then bury it in the earth.Lets continue to irrigate it provided there is no rain and then ensure regular weeding.

Fast forward, in like some 8months the mango seed has now germinated into a mango tree whose canopy provides a pseudo-shade on a hot afternoon.

MATTERS ARISING 1.0 FUTA EPISODE

The student leaders of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) were excited by the news of being the first to host the capacity building event tagged "Matters Arising 1.0".
A leadership training and capacity building event geared towards the advancement of student leaders who are the emerging world leaders.

The FUTA episode was quite thought-provoking, inspiring and Insightful. The speakers at the event Emiola Wale, Oyesoro Ayodeji and the convener Agboola Biyi M. nailed critical points necessary to catapult leaders into a productive life style.

I was born in a country that prides herself as the giant of her continent. Perhaps the most populated in the continent with an estimated population of about 186million people as at January 2016. 55.9% of this estimated population falls between the age of 15 and 64 years old (countrymeters.info/en/Nigeria).

In Nigeria, there are lots and loads of fantastic, absolutely talented people in Music, public speaking, acting, comedy, writing, graphic designs, Fashion designs and many more.

Sometimes ago, while I was just walking on the street, there was this road side talent hunt that was being done, and I could not but just wait to listen to amazing sounds coming out of the buzzing speakers. Talented guys singing, drumming, rapping

WHAT TIME IS IT?

I woke up this morning with a very bright smile on my face, wondering if it was the fantastic dream I had that actually inspired it or something else. But that nevertheless I was sure am in for a fantastic day.

Fast forward, I quickly took my bath,

It was one of those typically hot afternoon in Akure city, and with my knowledge of temperature scale I would assume the temperature was around 40°c . 

While I sat quietly in my custom in the corner of the lecture room, in a loose white shirt on a blue jean capable of reducing the intensity of the supposed harsh learning condition with power outage that made the lecture room abundantly stuffy

REMINDER

It was time for that semester that everyone has always anticipated for from year one. Well the only thing that excites most of us is the fact that we will have to learn, but this time around compulsorily out of the class room.

Some of us like this kind of learning, the catch to it is also that no exams will be written for the next six month. Oh what an air of relief!

So we could ignore the fear of to which direction is the CGPA
