Talent is enough! hell NO.

I was born in a country that prides herself as the giant of her continent. Perhaps the most populated in the continent with an estimated population of about 186million people as at January 2016. 55.9% of this estimated population falls between the age of 15 and 64 years old (countrymeters.info/en/Nigeria).

In Nigeria, there are lots and loads of fantastic, absolutely talented people in Music, public speaking, acting, comedy, writing, graphic designs, Fashion designs and many more.

Sometimes ago, while I was just walking on the street, there was this road side talent hunt that was being done, and I could not but just wait to listen to amazing sounds coming out of the buzzing speakers. Talented guys singing, drumming, rapping
and playing different musical instruments with dexterity.

But then, someone won and the show was over. The winner got the ovation and the reward and went back to his Crib. Since then, I have not set my eyes on him. Unless I see him tomorrow!

In a country of over 186million people, gaining access to a stage everyone craves for is no child's play, and the bitter truth is that not even your Talent alone can get it for you.

Its critical to note that likening Talent to a football game, Talent is just an ability to score goals. But remember, the ability to score goals does not win any match!
Goals win matches.

Its absolutely very important to find and recognize your talents while trying to fulfill purpose, but note that, that you are talented does not translate into being globally recognized or appreciated.
Ask Aliko Dangote if it was talent that built him an empire?

Ask Adenuga if talent only birth Globacom?

Ask Renowned pastors if talent was all they needed to build the churches?

Ask Fela Durotoye if it was his speaking prowess alone that made him who he is today?

You know we have amazing musicians who have always been amazing in the bath room. YES talented but something is missing.

To that fantastic talent you have at doing anything you are doing, its absolutely consequential that you are committed to it.

Commitment in the form of training and retraining, an optimistic mind set, hard work, perseverance and courage.

All these element must always be added to your talent to make you the super amazing personality you have always wanted to BE!

When commitment is missing, your talent will make you a star in the corners of your room!

Be committed, be optimistic, be hardworking, persevere the days of seemingly unending hunger, be courageous enough to take the necessary risk, be given to training, and with God on your side you will be all you are purposed to BE!

Lets go a step higher. YES WE CAN.
