The other day after a powerful delivery at a seminar
somewhere around town, one of the guest speakers who happened to be pretty
older asked me a question;
“Biyi, where do you see yourself in the
next six years?".
I paused momentarily, wore a smile on my face and gave him
answers. He ended up by saying "I pray all your aspirations come
true."
The honest truth is that while some of us have carefully invested
in our last five years to a large extent, to be able to pin point our
aspirations for the next six years, some of us simply have no idea what the
next six years will be all about!
Regardless of what our disciplines have been in the last
five years, the bitter truth is that in the next four years, some of us will
have nothing to do with it again!
Some of us will own renowned fashion lines!
Some of us will be highly successful musicians!
Some of us will be highly successful comedians!
Some of us will be successful politicians!
Some of us will be noble teachers and lecturers!
Some of us will own great empires!
Some of us will be celebrated
actors and actresses!
Some of us will reach the ends of
the earth calling forth destinies with our God-given potentials!
Some of us will be great
evangelist, pastors and prophets!
Some of us will be fantastic tech
experts!
Some of us will end up in
laboratories as researchers!
Some of us will end up in media
houses making significant differences!
No matter what the last five years
have been, there is always a ray of hope. Good or bad, it will surely end up. I
can only pray it’s
fantastic for us.
For those who have laboured and
invested intensively in developing their God-given potentials, the next six
years might be your season of harvest and advancement.
It’s the truth howbeit bitter that some of us will also die!
So, no matter what you find
yourself doing now or then, do it with all your might and also remember to do
it well.
Some of us will remember part of
us, while some of us will like to forever forget the memory of some of us!
Some of us will write our names in
GOLD, while some of us will even SOIL their father's name.
In the end some of us will be
RICH, and some of us will be POOR!
Some of us will live FOR CHRIST and
some of us FOR NOTHING!
Some of us will always be
inspired, some of us will surely INSPIRE OTHERS.
We are all writing our stories!
May we all find the courage to BE
ALL WE ARE DESIGNED TO BE because some of us will BE!
Let’s
go a step higher. YES WE CAN.
